I don't see any problems here. You shoot until the threat is gone. I can empty 15 rounds out of my Beretta very quickly and accurately. 10 rounds each officer is not too bad, and it doesn't look like they missed (surprising, I know ) I remember reading a story about an officer that had to fire on a bad guy. He was shot like 40 times by one cop. The bad guy died but his body fell back against the wall and didn't release the weapon. The cop only saw the bad guy standing there with a weapon and unloaded on him and even reloaded before reality set in.

Especially I don't see an issue regarding so many of these posts where you guys want to keep all your multiple high cap mags loaded and ready in case a bad guy enters your house.... if what these cops did was excessive why aren't you guys using single shots or just a revolver with 6 rounds? Hmmmmmmmmm???

I suppose if a freeze frame video showed the first shot that hit her ended the threat and the subsequent shots that hit her caused death there might be a problem. Of course holding the cops to that standard would require them to possess super-human sight and reflex control. Another case of John Burris looking to make a buck off of someone else's misfortune.

Pistols do not do a very good job of stopping people. If they kept shooting until she dropped, it could easily take that many rounds.
