I purchased a G19 the other day, on inspection it appeared perfect. Took to the range the moment I left the shop and 10-15 rds. into my range test lost the front night sight. Talked to Glock Tech and and he proceeds to tell me I am lying to him and tries to pawn off the issue on my local gun shop. I am a novice gun owner but not a complete dumb A** either and proceed to (as kindly as possible) explain to him how his night sight secures to the slide. He then puts me on hold because he wants to look up my SN and ensure it left the factory with night sights. The guy comes back on the phone and says send the slide in on my own dime and they will inspect and possibly fix it. He wants me to pay $10 or $15 to ship the slide for a maybe instead of just sending me a front sight that costs about $30! I have other Glocks and never had an issue, nor have I ever felt the need to contact customer service, but I'm kinda bamboozled by their IMHO poor customer service at best. I mean come on it's not like I want entire set of night sights here just a replacement front post that obviously wasn't installed right in the first place. Anyone else have an issue like this or know of a better way to remedy this, I mean I've owned the gun for 4 days and had the issue 10 min after I bought it.
