    Is it wrong?

Is it wrong to purchase two more OLLs before even finishing the build on the first one you have? More importantly.... is it wrong that you do not tell your wife that you are doing any of it?

My Wife does own her own handgun, and she did buy me a PRT-91 for Christmas. That alone is reason enough to never want to leave her.

Though she really doesn't want me spending money on any more "hobbies" as she puts it. My 1977 Blazer rebuild is taking a good chunk of change, and just in time for the skyrocketing gas prices. As it stands the Blazer will eat $130 for every fill up.

As far as I am concerned she is the one that gave me the B.R.D. in the first place. Is it fair to blame her?

She never looks into the gun safe, but I am pretty sure that I am dead if I do not find a cure soon for my BRD.

Anyone ever been in my shoes?

By the way this is a really great site!!!! I would contribute more in the forums, but I am still new to all this and learning more everyday.

By the way, to all the other newbes on this site... yes the SEARCH feature does work. That's how I have had all my questions answered so far. I might be a newbe too, but I do get tired of seeing the same questions asked over and over. Wow, I think I just went on a rant. Sorry.

I would feel a little guilty, but OH WELL! I'm kind of in your shoes but I played off my last Remington 870 purchase as "something I got a LOONG time ago". We're trying to save for a house. Well, she's saving for a house and I'm saving for home protection. That's my excuse anyway.

Is it wrong to take dessert before you finish dinner?

Is it wrong to make dates with other women before you take the first one out?

Is it wrong to buy a six pack, you only wanted one?

Good God man get a grip!

And yes, it is wrong not to tell her, I do it all the time.

It's always nice to have spare parts, especially lowers; you never know when the mood might strike you Do you normally discuss oll builds with your wife?

That's a serious question?? If yes, you are the only one that controls your hobby...I think you knew the answer before you posted the question. Not a good sign if you hide spending from each other...budget should be a mutual decision.

Switch from AR's to FAL's...parts will take a while to find, cash flow will even out. Better still, marry a lady that jumps horses for a hobby...gun expenses become a drop in the ocean.

It's not wrong to not tell her. Because technically you are not lying. However, having said that, if you promised not to spend any extra money and you did, then best to come clean. She will find out. Better she find out from you. If you didn't promise not to spend money, then no worries. If she asks you directly though, I'd tell her, lying will kill any relationship.

No kidding... It ain't like you are cheating on her or something like that. If she don't like it, tell her that she knows where the door is

Just tell her they came 'buy one, get 6 free'... works like a charm! Especially if your explaining it to her over a candle lit dinner while playing footsies under the table after a few glasses of cheap wine!

Any time you say "she doesn't want me to do XYZ", it's time to reconsider your situation (unless of course she's the main provider in the family).

                    might work

I like the idea of "buy one, get six free".

Maybe if she goes to the range and I let her shoot the rifle. Then I can get her hooked too.
