So my father and I did an interstate transfer of an off-roster gun. He shipped it to my FFL and I did all the paperwork and it went into jail. Went back ten days later and filled out more paperwork and then the FFL locked up the gun in a locked case and told me to walk outside for a few seconds and then walk back in....ok, not a problem....but why? I suppose I can see it if it were some SSE where I would walk out with the SSE and walk back in to have it converted but this was just a straight-forward transfer of an off-roster handgun...why did I have to walk outside?
At any rate, I'm now the owner of a jam-o-matic beretta nano
works pretty well with 147gr semi wadcutters, but absolutely hates the 115gr FMJ's...it let me know by popping in the head with a spent cartridge every couple shots and then FTE on the last round....ugh
