Makeshift AR 15 Bullet Button Mag. Release Tool

I went rummaging through my junk drawer looking for something I could use as an AR 15 Bullet Button Mag. Release Tool. I came up with these (golf tees and mini Christmas lights). Other items hanging the house might work too.

I have a key ring with a small padlock key on it that works just fine.

Why do people try to over complicate things?

Love how junk laying around can be made to work.
Couple banana jacks with a screw JB welded down the center and a badge reel.

Doesn't matter how you grab it it always will be pointed the right direction.
I clip it same place every time and it's right there in my hand. Bam.

The "ThumBee" works well, and is cheap.

On my wife's SU16CA a bullet pushes the release too far and lets it catch on the other side. A .223 shell casing works perfect though as the shoulder limits the depth.
