Would like to build an AK with a milled receiver. Have all the parts except for the receiver. Found 1 last July on Gunbroker for a price I was willing to pay but when it arrived, I was informed that it was on the ban list. My mistake. I didn't realize they sold stipped receivers back in the 80's so I didn't check. Was able to ship it back and got most of my money back.

Found a Firing Line receiver on Gunbroker a few days ago for a really good price and if things went right, I could have DROSed it before the end of the year. After emailing the vendor with my info, he informed me that he did not have the proper permits from the CA DOJ to ship any firearms to CA. Said he tried numerous times to get a permit but just got the runaround from the DOJ. So I guess I am SOL. Damn, that was a nice receiver.

That is odd. I have my FFL call the shipping FFL and walk them through the process, it only takes 15 minutes. I have never had a problem.
