Where Is Everyone At?

Hey all! I'm a new member to this site but a long time reader(lurker).
I registered cause I'm going through the process of getting my CCW and my OCP, and also cause I'm having trouble finding like minded individuals in my area out here in the IE (Corona Norco) area. Mostly people out here at the ranges tend to either be absorbed in their shooting(understandably so) or they are pretty closed minded against younger guys like myself (21) which makes it a bit hard to find buddies who understand the lifestyle. It's also tough to find gals out here who are awesome and everything until they find out I'm a gun person, at which point they freak out and run away haha. So basically, how should I go about finding people? I'm probably going about it all wrong, but I know you peoples exist. So any advice for finding persons in the hobby?

Weekend competitions go on all the time in socal, lotsa members on this board are directly involved and can point you in the right direction.

Great way to meet like-minded folks, get good instruction & have a good time

I'm hoping that a few people would point me in the right direction, always love learning new techniques and always up for hanging out. It kinda gets to be a drag sometimes living in the socialist peoples republic ov kalifornia where just thinking about guns might be a thought crime. ��
