Check with your post office (or maybe online). They have Postal Bulletins that will list any prohibitions and restrictions to the various APO/FPO's around the world. Some places it is flat-out prohibited, and others it might be okay.
    Hope that helps.

That would be a Negative to a APO/FPO, Military will not allow it. And since all the mail to APO/FPO goes through the Military Postal Clerks/Customs, you are SOL. I am still waiting for the Instruction Number, Once I get it I will give it to you.

I remember 2 gun shops in Kuwait City that had Rem 870's for around 1200 USD. They had shotgun and .22 ammo, but I'd hate to think what is costs.

Check with your ammo NCO. He just might be able to order .22LR thru the system. Also check with your S-3 section about starting a marksmanship team. You might be able to get .22 target rifles to practice with. I used to do that when I was in but that was 5+ years ago.

No. As all mail passes through the military postal system, and the sender MUST DECLARE what is in the package, its journey will stop in short order.

If you are strictly civilian (not a security contractor, customs, or other armed entity), having a firearm will get you fired and/or charged.

On top of that, I would crap a brick if I saw you with a gun in the ITO, and most likely shove my barrel in your face and have you zip-tied in an instant.

            Just a bad idea.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero

i am a security contractor out here. i know if i was in baghdad or something i could scrounge it up but im pretty remote. my company handles the ups contract in iraq also. there is no military control of it from the time the plane touches down at LSAA until we deliver the cargo.

my freedom and money isnt worth a few bricks of 22LR though.

anyone coming out on MAC soon should bring this out for me, manifested in your military command cargo though...
