    Target Display System

I came across this company on Facebook and it looks interesting. Some kind of target display company that does displays for indoor ranges. I guess displaying a live feed of your target.

What I would like to know is....has anyone used this or know anything about this system/company? Are there any ranges in socal that have this installed? If so, I would like to check it out. Please let me know which range has it. Probably would be great at the max distance (25 yards) to sight in my rifle. Especially small caliber 5.56 or 22LR. I can't see those impacts worth a darn at that distance.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

I'm assuming this is one of those remote camera systems(seriously, link a real company page, not a facebook page).

If you need to get a better view of your target without relying on a system that costs hundreds or requires a range to install it... get a spotting scope.

I wish I had a different link for you, all I have is the Facebook link. Here are a few photos I grabbed from their page.

Apparently, this company is installing these into indoor ranges. It looks interesting and I would like to try a range that has it. Wouldn't you? I think it would be helpful to see my groupings or to be able to mark my groupings and not have to retrieve the target each time. Additionally, when I go with my buddies they could see how I'm doing while I'm shooting.

Like I said I would try it out it I could find it. I don't know how much a range would charge per use but a few bucks wouldn't be bad.

      Thoughts?

      Thanks.

tripod+dslr w/ 1080p video+300mm telephoto lens+laptop = the desert rifleman's equivalent of this. Works good up to 300+yds or so.

Judging by some of the remnants of errand shots I have seen at most indoor ranges (holes in the ceiling, walls, station tables, etc) those nice screens better be bullet proof!

I was in a range a couple months ago, and some dude four or five lanes down from me shot out the overhead light. A few weeks before that, somebody shot out one of the ranges lights, right through the baffles at about 10 yards. The flourescent bulb came crashing down to the floor.
          Sorry, not sorry.

Those pictures are all photoshopped, I would like to see the actual system in action.

If I was a range owner I would not waste money on something like this. If I was getting customer complaints I would much rather rent spotting scopes than put in an expensive, most likely fragile, system.

Unfortunately TM isn't the only range that's shot up, although the amount of NDs in that place is excessive compared to others.

Of course since the owner of TM is so cheap, they're never going to install a system like this anyway.

The system is a great concept for older guys like me that can't see like we used to, but it couldn't last a week at a public range.

A good spotting scope costs hundreds.

It also only needs to be bought once, and can go with you to wherever range or shooting area you happen to be that may not have cameras and LCD screens handy.

Sure, a spotting scope would work to show the impacts but for a indoor range?? What a pain to set up a spotting scope in the shooting stall. There isn't much room in there to begin with and bending down each time to look through the eye piece...come on.

I would rather just look at a nice large LCD screen and not bother with all the extra equipment associated with a spotting scope. Another element I would like to try with this system was the ability to circle the groupings on the monitor with their pen. Now that looks interesting to me. Can't do that with a spotting scope.......

                          Thanks.

                              Slab,

Just because I think the system looks interesting, I work for them? Come on now.

I started the thread to find out if anyone knows of a range that has this system in place and if they had any thoughts on it.

                              That's it.
