    Seattle's call for open stupidity.

If it's your prerogative to advertise and ensure that your patrons and your business are soft targets, then have it your way.

Not surprised considering I see hippies everywhere whenever I'm down there.

Why do they not understand that the violence does NOT come from the law abiding?

Voluntary gun free zones are a great compromise. You aren't forced to be a patron of any business and there is nothing wrong with a business owner not wanting weapons in his establishment. I would much rather have a few businesses not allow me to carry then have a city, county, state, nationally regulated gun free zone.

Constitutional rights go both ways just because we believe in defending ourselves and being armed doesn't mean everyone does.

Exactly...if I owned an establishment in a state/area that allowed CCW, I would advertise that I encourage people to exercise their 2A. It also helps keep robberies down, etc.

It has always been the business owner's option to refuse to allow people with weapons into their establishments. I think this is political "testing of the waters".

Fascitelli admits it won't stop a determined gunman from bringing a gun into a business, such as Seattle's Cafe Racer where a shooter opened fire last year. But he says it's an important step in what he calls an ongoing culture war.
Great. This won't actually help anyone stay safe, it just makes them feel like they are sticking it to the man, by signing on with another one....

                from the article:
"Fascitelli admits it won't stop a determined gunman from bringing a gun into a business, such as Seattle's Cafe Racer where a shooter opened fire last year. But he says it's an important step in what he calls an ongoing culture war. "

These people are liberals, and by default, stupid. They are also unwilling to admit the culture that is responsible for crime is the ghetto culture. They won't admit this because it would mean they are against dark skin people, the very same people they pretend to support.

Looks like the CA mentality is spreading... No wonder other states hate us.

Honestly, I know that this does happen (although probably not often when law abiding legally carrying citizens are involved), but how often outside of gang territory?

"What this will prevent is somebody who has a gun, then gets into an argument, then gets emotional and distraught and an argument turns into a funeral," Fascitelli said."
It's like they think if honest normal people get to carry guns, that its gonna turn into the Wild Wild West.

                      Incredible.
                      Sorry, not sorry.

And this is coming from Seattle, where to local PD hands out Doritos and Muncie bags to all of the grass smoking hippies at the Hempfest.

So a pot smoking festival is acceptable, but someone exercising their RTC is demonized? And the justification is that they may get angry and shoot someone??

How about they ban marijuana because someone may smoke it, get high, and eat all of the hot Funyuns at 7-11...thus leaving none for me.

                        Shees, I'm moving to Texas,....
                        I like guns.

Funny part is I recently moved near Seattle and got my concealed weapons permit in under 2 weeks. These "no gun" stickers are just for show.

Seems like a win - win to me doesn't it? As stated before in this post if they don't want the money people with guns are going to spend in the store they own to make PROFIT anyone with a firearm gets to kill two birds with one stone find a better store with more tolerant owners and deny that particular business with your hard earned cash.
