Ammo stocks getting back to normal?

I'm on the east coast (but still love you guys), and I am curious to see if you are starting to see ammo supplies increasing and prices coming down yet?

I was in Walmart the Friday and they still had their three box limit sign up, but the shelves were pretty well stocked. Granted it was mostly whitebox and ppu stuff but they had everything but .308 and 300 lapua. I picked up three boxes of wichester white box 5.56 for $12 and some change a box.

At another Walmart on Saturday they didn't have the sign and when I asked about it, the woman at the counter told me they were limiting the purchases to five boxes, but that the official policy was still three.

At the range on Sunday one of the guys I shoot with (who reloads and sells to members and other local ranges) was pissed because after holding out for so long, he fininally invested quite a bit of money into his reloading for new equipment and stocks only to "have the *bleeping* carpet pulled out from under" him. It sounds like there are enough factory loads out there that the demand (and people's willingness to pay) for reloads has dropped off.

I'm also seeing more shooters at the range, who are staying longer and shooting more.

I noticed the 12g 100 count are back at Walmart. All the hunting rounds are still there but the 9m - 45auto - and 22lr are still hard to come by here in the Bay Area. The gun shops do have them but you'll be paying a higher price.

Not even close here in the Valley. The list of what our LGS's, Walmart's, Dicks, and Big 5's don't have is way more than what they do. It's still a joke

9mm and 22 are hardest to find here but it comes in stock weekly. Everything else is stacked deep but overpriced.

Nope still sucks here in Rancho Cucamonga. 15-17 $ 5.56/.223, no 9mm, zero .22lr, no .308, .30-06, .243. And the stuff that is in stock is stupid expensive. Local turners has 40 and 45 but at 25$ and up for 50. I roll my eyes at people who say the craze is over. I think it's still going so strong and won't stop for a few more years. Can't imagine what next year will be like? 100$ 5.56/.223? 150$ .308?

Its iffy at best. 22 is gone within a few minutes on the shelf 223, 308 are way expensive.

The .243 craze never caught on out here, or at least if it did stocks were so deep that its always on the shelf. Same with shotgun ammo.

According to this Remington just broke ground on a new plant, which should be running at full production within a year, so I think that means they are banking prices remaining high at the very least. (http://www.guns.com/2013/08/09/remin...rkansas-video/)

I just bought a bunch of Federal 5.56 for $8.49/20rnd box. I'm stacking it deep at under $9 a box online, when I'm not buying parts for my 68 camaro project.
My local stores in the Ca. central valley are still low on inventory and too high on price when I see it.

I don't think I'll find the $5.99 boxes of brass .223/5.56 anytime soon.

I've noticed the same thing. Lots of bulk 12&20 gauge some 223&556 the pistol ammo still lacks but I'm able to get 2 or so boxes every so often.

I live in Sac.....I am seeing ammo in stock, but prices are still ridiculous. Still waiting for prices to drop a bit.

Plenty of ammo available with fair pricing at this time. Still a shortage of 22lr but available online etc but you will pay.

I think within the next couple of Months we will see more people dumping personal supplies especially around e holidays.

The 22s some people just have way to much on hand such as my self.
