So I ordered my first handgun over three months ago. It's a P220 Equinox and the dealer I ordered it through still has not received it. I dont understand why it would take this long. I ended up getting a USP45 to hold me over until I get the P220. This was 2 months ago. Have any of you waited this long for a handgun before?

Almost 3 years from Colt custom shop. From Sig, go to another dealer.

I tried to get a P220 Equinox too and at the time the wait would be around 3 months. I decided to get a P220 ST instead and I don't regret it. P220 equinox are hard to come by in california. You can easily find P229, P226 equinox. You should have bought a P220 combat or even a cheapie P225 P6 to hold you over instead of throwing down so much coin for a USP. Either way you have a lot of patience because I would have lost interest by now.Comment

Hard to come by, come on ive seen alot of them in full size and carry in the 45 caliber and other calibers, there not hard to come by. My advice is call around every gun shop in your area. Whats youir location, if your in the bay area i know were you could get one.Last edited by battleship; 06-10-2008, 2:07 AM.Comment

Did the dealer give you an estimated time of delivery? There is absolutately no way that I could wait that long for a gun. I would go nuts. Probably do the same thing you did by buying another gun until the other gets here. But 3 months seems like a long time to me.Originally posted by tankermanI think most folks bubba their AR's because they watch too many action movies, play too many video games and don't understand how to socialize properly, so they fantasize about being 'action hero's'. Yup, they told me 3 weeks. Now I'm thinking of canceling (if possible) and putting the money into some other gun. Maybe a rifle. The thing that gets me is that other dealers seem to have no problem restocking these. It just doesn't seem right.Comment

Thanks, I'll look into this if I decide to cancel and can get all of my money back. I hope they dont try to charge me a restocking fee or something.Comment

If the dealer told you 3 weeks and you are now at 3 months waiting for it, there is no reason why they would want to charge restocting fee. Who is the Dealer? They should at a minimum give you like a 10% discount or something for having you waiting. I would cancell and go with A dealer that has them in stock... The dealer broke their word, not you...Originally posted by tankermanI think most folks bubba their AR's because they watch too many action movies, play too many video games and don't understand how to socialize properly, so they fantasize about being 'action hero's'.
