New-Question about types of ammo and range rules that allow them?

Hi everyone. I am new here and am quite lost and figured a lot out but not sure about these questions.

I have a lot of ammo that is either steel cased or Bi-Metal and even some that is both like Silverbear ammo I have.

    My questions are

1- I am in Santa Clarita, Is there any range that allows bi-metal or steel case ammo around here?

2-Is there any legal places in the hills or mountains to go shooting? Im a clean shooter and pick up all my mess and then some. I am not the dirty shooter that leave trash behind and raise so many of our blood pressure.

3- Is there any 5.45x39 that is not bi-metal? Seems like Angeles allows steel case ammo but not bi-metal ammo

4- Same as 3 but for 7.62x39 ammo?

I have Ar-15 uppers in 5.45x39 and 7.62x39 but all i can find are bi-metal ammo and i have a lot of spam cans of double evil bi-metal and steel cased ammo that i ahve nowhere to shoot so hopefully I can find some open land somewhere to shoot it.

Sorry for all the questions, i just moved back to California with my brother so im a little lost here and he didn't know the answer.

    Thank you

BLM is most likely the best place to go and shoot of that stuff. Burro Canyons let you shoot steal penetrators and bi-metals but only during fall and winter.

West End Gun Club had a fire this morning. I was told it was some idiot with tracers.

No matter where you shoot that steel core- DO NOT SHOOT steel targets with it. It can spark and cause a fire.

I hope the RO's know who had that tracer- Let him pay for the firefighters...

BLM DESERT DISTRICT does not allow steel core and steel jacketed ammo since June 19, 2013.

Best to check the BLM website for the area you are shooting in before you shoot it there. You can also call their field office just to make sure you can shoot that ammo there.

sigh. the good ol "if we cant ban it lets restrict it heavily" routine. what is left to shoot? shotguns and cowboy lead rounds?

rahauuges in corona, avoid angeles range, they have magical flammable dirt.

for non steel 762x39 there are a few options, PMC, remington, fed, win metric, all very expensive.

for 545x39 there is only hornady ballistic tip ammo, again - expensive

Burro Canyon when they determine it's a wet season...whenever that is.

Actually lead is next on their hitlist, it's already banned for hunting in "Condor Areas". bunch of BS if you ask me. I've never heard of anyone getting lead poisoning from game they've killed with lead ammo. I've spit out many pellets from pheasant, dove, and duck in my life and I am sure many other here have too.
