How EXACTLY Does a Firearms Trade Work?

Sorry for such a newb question, but I thought I understood the mechanics of completing a firearms trade until reading a few posts here that just confused me. Can anyone either point me to where this is already addressed correctly (I tried searching but my googlefu is weak on this dumb phone), or else can anyone break down the steps exactly? Thanks!
    Regarding the 2nd Amendment:
"...to disarm the people ― that was the best and most effectual way to enslave them." George Mason ("The Father of the Bill of Rights")

    Regarding Life and Death:
"Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28

The BIG question: "What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ?" Matthew 27:22b

You go to a gun store and pay your own DROS fee (transfer fee) wait the 10 days and blamo!

If C&R, face to face can be done if both parties are allowed to legally posses firearms etc...

Works just like a sale except that you exchange goods instead of cash.

Both parties fill out DROS paperwork, both pay $35 transfer fee, both wait 10 days.

Yup, obviously inspect the firearm you are trading, if it is to your likng, continue with the trade...if not fake a cellphone call from your friend saying that you cant sell the firearms because of zombies/brown recluses....

It works the same as a PPT.
Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace. -- James Madison

The Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms. -- Samuel Adams, Debates and Proceedings in the Convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 86-87 (Pearce and Hale, eds., Boston, 1850)

I know you said "etc" but heres the details on the 2nd part:
In CA, between two CA residents, of legal age, eligible to own firearms, a transfer of long guns 50 years or older can be done without the use of an FFL.
