What is a good stock for a dpms 308 lower. I was thinking about the A2 but I want to make sure that I don't need to buy a special one for the AR10 (dpms). All the ones I see online and at the LGS' say for AR15, will these work?

I bought the magpul rifle stock with rifle buffer tube, 308 buffer, and spring.
But I didn't want a heavy PRS or collapsible stock.

The Magpul PRS is a really nice stock. Expensive and heavy yes, but being adjustable is reallly nice. (If you get one though make sure it is for the AR-10, otherwise the charging handle will interfere with the cheek riser thing.) The weight actually helps counterbalance the weight of heavier/longer barrels (like the 24" heavy barrel by DPMS).WARNING: THE ABOVE POST MAY CONTAIN EXCESSIVE USE OF SARCASM.

Std.ar15 A2 stock works fine, but you must use a .308 rifle buffer and spring. I started with a cheapo UTG a2 which worked fine for me but then i picked up an ar-10 PRS from Exile when he had them for less than$200, i really like the fit/functions of the magpul, but its just too heavy!
The ar-15 PRS will work, except that the cheek riser will interfere with charging handle operation when raised, the 308 version has the cheek riser further to the rear.Last edited by Falstaff; 08-15-2013, 12:33 PM.Comment
