If they did I would just leave. I'll probably be gone by then anyway, it's getting damn near impossible to afford to live here anymore with any sense of dignity.

            I voted 'no' - I don't live in California.

I try to avoid going there.

You know that statement just makes people want to leave an opinion more right?

Personally I want to leave anyway, the gun laws are just the icing on the cake.

In my personal opinion, it is a disservice to 2a advocates to post this survey in a public forum.

                  jmo, no offense meant.

+1. Wife doesn't shoot, kids and aging parents here. I've been planning to buy some rental units near Reno, I guess I'll keep one unit to store my toys in so I have a place to go play with them.

I think we need to pull a play out of the Socialist (calling themselves "progressive") Democrats playbook and have some civil disobedience in Sacramento. Maybe it's time to chain ourselves to the capital doors and blockade the Assembly and Senate. Since we tend to be a law abiding group we aren't taken seriously.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

The harsher the laws are that pass the easier they will be to defeat in court. I fear that these new laws will push some people to the breaking point and do things they will regret. Peaceful protest (disobedience) is the only way to bring about change. I am hoping when these new laws come online it will affect millions of gun owning Californians and make them mad enough to get off the butts and do something about it.

DOJ estimates as to compliance in the 2001 AWB range from 10-20%, depending on whom you talk to.

I'm just not seeing California weapons laws "defeated in court"...am I missing something?

The millions of gun-owning Californians haven't been maddened enough about the 2001 AWB, not to mention the laws passed since, to do anything about it.

So, why do you think the latest round of stupid laws will make them any more eager?

Already planning extraction to Nevada. By next summer, I won't care what the idiots in Sacramento do.

I'm already planning to leave this state. I've reached my limit on insane taxation, right infringements, and political jackassery. The contract at work ends in April of next year and aside from work, I don't have anything else forcing me to stay.
