After putting a D spring and E2 hammer in my 92FS,I decided to compare my draw times of the Beretta with my only other handgun,a Tanfoglio 10mm.Since the Witness can be carried Cocked and Locked,it was an excellent way to compare the DA/SA operation with C1.
I fired up the shot timer app and drew my trusty Beretta.Time 1.98 from holster to first shot in DA.
Next came the 10mm.Same distance,10 yards.
I draw....acquire the front sight.....why's the trigger so HEAVY all of a sudden....what the...'click click'....bloody heck,the safety still on!
I guess we figured that out.Don't flip flop guns with different operating methods-or a mixup might be last mistake you ever make.Ironically I was faster shooting the EAA in double action then in Condition 1.
