    quick question ref. DROS

hey guys, need a little help on this one. I may be in the position where i can begin a DROS, then need to leave for an out of country detail that will last more then 30 days. can someone else pick up my rifle after the 10 days is up, or does it need to be me? anyone heard of a way to solve this issue? I guess I can have the FFL just hang onto the weapon until i get back to begin the DROS if he is willing to.

Does the shop do layaway? If so put a payment down to hold it and pay it off when you're back

it's a shipment from LRB directly to my FFL. it's already on the way and I think the timing is going to miss by a day or so for me to pick it up after 10 days. i've waited almost 10 months for the rifle. ugh.

Just call and ask. Worse they can do is say no.

No S/N required for DROS on long gun, and IIRC, they will only need s/n to log in and out of their inventory for the transfer.

Have mom, dad, son or daughter DROS it
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

It's a special order that's being shipped in his name to the FFL. Having someone else DROS it would look too much like a straw purchase.
