    Real or not real

I recently purchased a DD upper from pk firearms.

I received the upper works nice but there's nothing on that gun that has daniel defence. Has anyone ever purchased anything from this site?

How about you post some photos of the marks the rifle does have...
    What does the barrel say?

Shop a full line of Daniel Defense Cold Hammer Forged rifle barrels for popular calibers and gas system lengths.

    BTW the ad clearly states:
These are assembled and test fired by PK Firearms.
So no it wasn't made by DD it seems. Probably have at minimum DD barrels...

You bought a PK firearms upper, not a DD upper. Also, learn to read

Click on the "FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT PK FIREARMS CUSTOM UPPERS CLICK HERE"

        Custom Upper Receiver Assemblies

All custom upper receiver assemblies built by PK Firearms will state in the advertisement "These are assembled and test fired by PK Firearms", if the advertisement does not say this the upper is a factory upper, built by the listed manufacturer. Custom upper assemblies on our website are categorized according to who manufactured the barrel used in the upper assembly. Beyond this it does not necessarily mean that the rest of the components used in the build are from that particular manufacturer. For example, this does not necessarily mean that a custom upper listed as a Daniel Defense contains all Daniel Defense parts such as the receiver, bolt carrier, etc. If the components such as the receiver or bolt carrier are manufactured by Daniel Defense, etc. we will include this information in the advertisement, however if the advertisement merely states that it is a mil-spec flat top receiver or an M16 bolt carrier with no manufacturer specified, it could be produced by any of several well-known OEM manufacturers on the east coast. At PK Firearms we sell only the highest quality components from well known OEM manufacturers, the same manufacturers used by military and law enforcement agencies nation wide....

Wow, talk about crappy advertising. Sure they aren't hiding that it's not really a DD upper, but why even call it that in the first place?

All the upperd are listed as Daniel Defense Uppers but actually the uppers are made from parts from multiple companies. They should label them as PRK Uppers instead, very misleading.

              false advertising

              ask for your money back

if not, then ask if they can get a REAL DD upper

if not, then take them to small claims

not worth their time to show up

maybe help others to keep from getting defrauded

It's not PRK, it's PK firearms based out of Illinois.

While I agree they should not call the whole upper by the barrel brand I don't see how there website is "misleading" or "false advertising" as some of you put it. Their ad clearly states that these are custom uppers and in bold say "These are assembled and test fired by PK Firearms." and then has a link to a page that explains what that means.

While at first glance it might look deceiving, if you read the whole ad they are not hiding the fact that they are built in house with other manufactures parts.

the ad could easily construed as being made of authentic DD parts and assembled by them

bait and switch; false advertising, whatever

I think a court case would win for the consumer

hmmmm.... If the upper receiver itself isn't made by Daniel Defense, I don't see how this can not be false advertising when advertised as "Daniel Defense Custom Uppers." The fact that they are assembled by PK instead of Daniel Defense is pretty clear though.

Even if read thoroughly and your find it isn't false advertising, the ad is still totally misleading no matter what they put in the fine print. Kinda of like how people advertise things like "Yankee Hill Machine Style" handguards.

                          Right.

Although I doubt DD would be happy to find a retailer listing products as DD uppers when they clearly aren't.

So I would send a link to Daniel Defense, although I would guess DD already knows. They might be able to tell you what they are doing about it.

Not sure it crosses the line for fraud given the linked notation but I don't think it is above board business practice.

Sorry you got caught in the net.

I've seen that link before I've only assumed they used barrels from Daniel Defense and the rest is from wherever.
