I'm thinking about buying a SCAR 16 in FDE. I wanted to get some opinions on if FDE will still be cool a couple years from now.

FDE is 'cool' now. So, no, won't be in ten years.
Buy it anyway.The thing with firearms is that they are not like any other consumer product, simple ownership of one carries a lot of responsibility.

Probably not. If we have a war in Alaska in 10 years white will be the flavor of the decade, but still it's a relic of the trends that we have been through. I say get a fde rifle or pistol and let it be a conversation starter in 10+ years.Comment

Scar's are like 5 colors of brown with some OD for the top receiver and black controls.... so your pretty much covered for all colors

I guess it depends on where the Call of Duty games are set in 10 years. If we are done with Middle East wars (doubt it) then it won't be popular because the kids won't be seeing FDE guns in their video games anymore.
