If you mean "long range with a .22LR," then any of those mentioned will do -- Savage, Marlin, CZ, or the true high-end like Anschutz or Remington 40X. But even these will be challenged beyond a couple of hundred meters, even with the best ammunition.
If you mean a long-range centerfire, then there is a whole universe of options to consider.
Where do you plan to shoot it? For some people 400 meters is long range. For others, it's 1000 meters. But venues to do this are few.
What style of shooting? From the bench, field positions, in a sled? Competition? Hunting? Pop-up targets? Timed? Shooting for groups or just hitting steel?
Any other considerations? Do you want optics or iron sights? Do you want a rifle you can pack and carry long distances, or is it strictly for range use? Are you going to load your own ammunition, or is commercial supply a factor?
For someone first starting out and reaching past the .22 LR rimfire, I'd recommend a solid but customizable rifle in a good "all around" caliber such as .308 Win. Savage and Howa have excellent entry-level offerings. The Ruger MSR is a different style and a solid option. Weatherby, Sako and Browning are upscale performers worth a look. And there is always the legendary Remington 700, in a wide variety of configurations.
Another route is to go with an old surplus rifle. When I shoot long distance I usually bring my M1 Garand in .30 '06. This reaches out as far as I'd ever need to shoot. Sure, it's not capable of delicate surgery like some more accurate rifles, but neither am I except under the most contrived conditions.
You might want to try coming to a Calguns shoot to see what other people have, what they like, what works for them. Odds are you'll get to see and even try out a wide range of rifles. There are so many for a reason -- everyone's particular needs and desires are different.

Mosins are fun to shoot, and have relatively cheap ammo too. (Though it can sometimes be a little bit of a challenge to find places where you can shoot the magnetic ammo.)
