Got my WA CPL(concealed) in 3 weeks no problem. Quite a few open carry around here without people batting an eye. And once you get your CPL you can walk in and walk out with a new firearm within 30 minutes
Oh ya and no restrictions on standard cap(hicap) magazines.

Pretty lax on gun laws by comparison, recent law change made the use of a silencer legal in the state (you could previously own it but not use it in state), CCW easy to obtain, short barreled rifles are ILLEGAL by state law. There is a similar website to calguns called:
I cannot think of any firearm/device/etc. that you can own and use in California that you cannot own and use in Washington.Last edited by Remus; 08-09-2013, 10:04 PM.Comment

Shall Issue CPL (No training or anything, pay your $, zap your fingers)
No AW Bans
No Magazine Bans
No safe handgun roster or any of that BS.
No waiting periods on shotgun/rifles
No waiting period on handguns with CPL (up to 5 days without)
Suppressors are legal
AOWs are legal
Destructive Devices are legal
PPTs are cash & carry no FFL needed
Open Carry legal
Total state preemption, yes that means we carry at the DOL, state capitol, e.t.c. No park bans or whatever.
Illegal to carry in places off limits to persons under 21, schools, courthouses (courthouse must have a lockbox for you to store a firearm)
College carry isn't illegal by law, but schools can kick you out for carrying if they find out.
Any other questions feel free to PM me, always happy to answer any questions you may have.Former "Subject" of the People's Republic of California in "exile" in Washington State.Comment
