    armed citizens legal defense network?

Anybody know anything about them? Legit?

Their name came up in a book I'm reading. It sounds like if you sign up for $270 for 3 years or $670 for 10 years they'll put up the initial $10k for legal defense if you're involved in a shooting. A type of insurance I guess.

Any knowledge of them? I did a search and didn't find it already on CalGuns.

    I've had a subscription/policy with them before.

Comes with some very good, but dry DVDs, quality material, just don't expect the flash of a Magpul video.

    31 people signed up for 3 years = $10k

the chances of any of them requiring that $10k is pretty slim, great business

Hayes, Ayoob, they're known and reputable people in the firearms training and testifying circles. they know what they're doing/ the question is...

is what they're selling worth it to YOU?

Are there any known cases where they were involved to see how it practically works? My personal legal background is very basic.

They only pay 10k for felony and 5k for misdemenor. They say that a civil or any other case could qualify for other grants.

Most of the time when these cases are brought to court they are civil cases because due to self defense laws the DA can't prosecute them but the person or family of the person shot can still sue you.

It's not that expensive but the likely hood of you getting prosecuted for murder after you fire your weapon in self defense at someone is very slim. Mine as well spend that money on lotto tickets.

Don't look at is as insurance because it's not, the point of the program is to allow you to get the legal process quickly started if you don't have liquid cash. 10k in a felony murder trial won't even get you to trial you could have your lawyer for a few preliminary hearings before he's going to be asking for a lot more money.
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.
