Old lady friend need help identifying a revolver..

I have an old lady friend in PA who is helping an even older lady friend get into a Senior home (91 years, poor and lives in a pretty sketchy hood).

She has a gun that looks to be pretty crappy but she asked me if it was worth any money and / or how to sell it and at least get something for it. I'm quite sure it's not registered. I want to make damn sure it does not get into the black market so I will either have her dispose of it thru the cops there OR if it's worth anything I'll buy it via FFL to me and / or I'll sell it for her in GunBroker.

For the time being this is the only picture she has (--thing looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 30 years either!!) --until such time she gets back over there to take pictures of the other side. So far the only identifying mark is the G1000. The table it sits on is about 12 inches so judging by that I'd say the gun is about 10 inches. I'm thinking a .38 ?

    Thoughts?

First guess? Pellet or BB gun of some type.

I'm going with cap gun. The hammer looks like pot metal, the broken trigger guard looks like a plastic break and not metal. Don't see any gap at the cylinder and surrounding frame. The grip doesn't look like it has a screw in it but a plastic snap on part.

Secondary is the G1000 sure looks cheesy.

The poor woman lives in about the worst part of Philly --She has no one to look after her except now my friend.... Thankfully my friend tells me that her direct neighbors are very very nice and helpful.

They call her "Snowflake" she's the only white woman in the neighborhood. I guess the poor soul lived in that house since 1952.

At 91 I hardly expect she's able fix things like water stains. And living in abject poverty she can't afford to have it fixed.

My heart just breaks. I wished the damn gun was real and worth something. Stories like this just kill me. At 91 someone should not have to live like that... hopefully she's getting into a home that can provide good care.

                    Anyways. thanks everyone.
