    Oregon travel

Not sure if this is the best forum for my question, but here we go. The GF and I are going to be attending a wedding in Oregon (about an hour outside of Portland). We're driving up and I'm taking some firearms, haven't decided which ones yet.

Basically what I'm trying to find out is, if it's legal to transport in CA, am I good in Oregon or do they have other rules? I'm not sure if I'll bring any long guns or not, might do it if we get a chance to hit up a range. The plan is for pistols to be unloaded in a locked container, any long guns will be unloaded in a bag as well, probably throw a lock on just for the sake of completion.

We'll be staying in hotels for the most part, but two nights will be camping on privately owned land (friends of the bride & groom are hosting and very pro-gun).

Awesome, thanks. The groom told me there would be several folks there carrying AT the wedding, the property owners among them, so we're good on that front.

Oregon is an "Open-Carry" state with a few restrictions.
"Everyone must determine for themselves what level of tyranny they are willing to tolerate.
I let my CA residency expire in 2015."

Pretty much any state you can drive to west of Illinois is going to have less strict laws than California.

You are good to go. I just moved from there. I lived in Oregon for the past few years. Open carry and a "free state" in terms of gun laws.

Both my mom and pop are CCW cert up there. They are 73 and 77 respectively ... and great shots too!
