    Bay Area's best LGS

There are a lot of threads out there about LGS's that people hate. I though I'd start one about the one's you love and why.

I like Templar Sports here in Los Gatos because I like my tax money going to my home town. Their selection is limited but slowly ramping up. They just opened up this year and are up against anti-gun folks who want them shut down and out of our small town.

I also really like Bass Pro in Manteca. My parents live there and I stop in every time I visit them. Prices there are pretty good also. I know they don't qualify as an LGS, but they are still awesome.

Another +1 for Triple A's. I also recommend Eddy's Shooting Sports in MV.

I don't understand how any of them stay in business, with the anti-gun attitude in the Bay Area. I wish them all well and success in their endeavors.

Instead of just stating the name of our favorite shops why not add a few words about why you like the place?

I like Imbert & Smithers in San Carlos for their consignment selection and laid back atmosphere. However they do have an unusual aversion to AK rifles.

City Arms in Pacifica has a nice selection but the vibe there has gotten a bit more pushy than I like.

I like Castello's in San Jose

I like TR&P because the staff there is super helpful, knowledgeable, and isn't on some crusade to sell you **** you don't want/need. Also they do SSE's at a very reasonable rate and are active on Calguns. They hosted an Assaulted movie night recently too. I wish I lived closer to them, I'd go there all the time.

City Arms in Pacifica because they have a large selection and prices are pretty decent. And if you catch them when it's not so busy, their customer service is actually pretty good. Can't say the same when it's packed, but that's to be expected.

Peninsula Guns and Tactical in San Bruno. Tho their prices are high, their customer service is pretty good. I purchased 2 handguns from them just because of that.

I'm going to have to check this place out. Many people bring this place up. What makes it so great?

Mount Pleasant Arms in San Jose because...

                            - Does SSE's
                            - Great Pricing with in stock items
                            - Peter (Owner) - Great Guy and Only guy to deal with at shop.
                            - Works with you when transferring in handguns or rifles.
                            - Transfer Fees / SSE 's fees are comparable or lower than most local shops.
