I been buying my last few guns at Bass pro in Manteca, and Dicks sporting goods in Dublin.

      Big box stores.

I dont care about the employee service, they have the best prices.

I would never shop at Irvington arms, Bay area gun vault.

I wont shop at tracy rifle and pistol. I went in and was looking to buy an 1911. I asked to confirm that retired vets dont pay for the handgun safety certificate. The woman working there told me well not really and that i would have needed to be honerably discharged. Maybe i am being too sensitive or something but implying that I was dishonerably dischargered after i had stated i was retired marine is an insult and a slap in the face. This happened three years ago and I have never steped foot in their again.

Bain and Davis in San Gabriel. This was almost 10 years ago. I went in there for a simple drill an tap and they told me it would be $35 and pickup in a week. Called a week later and it still wasn't ready. Took them about three weeks to do it and when I went to pick it up they wanted to charge me $75. I told them I was quoted $35 and they said they had to charge $75 because they ran into problems with the drill and tap.

I argued that I should have been notified of this new cost before they had done the work because for $75 I would not have done it. They finally lowered the bill to $50 and would not budge any further. I decided to pay it and swore I'd never step foot in there again.

Another downvote for Canyon Sports in Martinez. Haven't shopped there in years because of the unbelievable rudeness.

                How about *can't* shop in?

Went there at lunch one day. Guy was sitting at the desk and did not even acknowledge I was there at the door. Oh well. Went had lunch and back to work

Re: Ammo Bros Cerritos. I have only done a PPT there. Great service, no attitudes. And I'm Asian! Good guys...at least the two I dealt with who went out of their ways to help me PPT and talk AK's. No issues.

Gunrunners Duarte (dark and dirty; and the obese clerks don't have the time of day for anyone under 50 who is into tactical weapons)

Turners (I will browse in there, but interacting with the staff will only yield a negative experience)

2nd Amendment in Bakersfield is awful. Ridiculous prices on everything.

Also avoid Southern Shooters in Tehachapi. The guy is a FUD filled D-bag. My buddy went there to get a .357 and was treated like garbage till he got out his Navy ID, then the red carpet was rolled out. Too little, too late- he went somewhere that doesn't act openly hostile to potential customers.

Avoid Gunrunners in Duarte. Rude. They'll talk to their buddies, knowing that you're standing there, and not say a thing to you until their conversation is over. It's like they want you to go away and not be bothered.

Avoid Turners Norwalk. I went there for a PPT and the manager and chubby asian guy with the glasses were pretty rude to us. Sorry for wasting their time.

Absolutely avoid Wimpy's Pawnshop in Irwindale. I went there for a PPT with another Calgunner; I was the buyer. The guy behind the counter was trying to outbid me for the pistol I was buying. What a jackass.

                                Turners in Norwalk.

Turners in Pasadena and Reseda were good.
