    Ammo Supply

Does anyone else feel that LGS are not fully stocking shelves with ammo? Even though they might have it in the back of the store. It would be a way to keep prices high. What do you guys think.

Since the first store to break from the conspiracy would make a ton of money selling lots and lots of ammo, I think it's a pipe dream.

Businesses like gun stores go broke on purpose????

Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Ammo is coming back so if they sit on back room stock they will miss the profit from the horders.

Lol. I can get all the ammo from distributors you want. I can even sell it to you at pre-panic prices. Here are some of the calibers available:
                .416 rigby
                300weatherby magnum.
All the .22lr you want as long as it is CCI snake shot
                9mm and .45 snake shot.

Everything else is allocated. I think I got a total of 20 boxes of federal .22 automatch since last November when I used to sell pallets of .22. Same for any other popular caliber. I got maybe 3 cases of federal 556. No 9mm, no .45 since last year.
My friend owns a online ammo company in Phoenix. He was barely able to have pallets come in through his contacts but nowhere enough of what he could sell even at slightly inflated prices.
If I had the ammo to sell I would not be hiding it. My business is to sell not hold.

My LGS is holding back a few boxes from each ammo shipment for their loyal customers and to have enough to toss in a box with each gun sale when it is possible. What that means is that once in a while when I drop by to shoot the breeze I am surprised when the owner pulls out a brick of .22 or a box of 9mm with my name on it. I was overwhelmed when he pulled out 5 boxes of .30-30 last week. I have been looking for that since February. That was his entire shipment of .30-30 and he let me buy it all. I paid for his beers at the local bar that night.

I doubt very much he is holding back. While hanging around the shop I have witnessed people offering to pay just to have the right to purchase his entire next shipment of ammo when it came in. They would even pay 4 times what he would sell it at retail for. These people drive from the SF bay area and have the money and are used to using that money to get whatever they want.

I am sure if he was holding back, he would soak these guys for all he could.
Anyone can look around and see the damage to the state and country inflicted by bad politicians.

A vote is clearly much more dangerous than a gun.

Why advocate restrictions on one right (voting) without comparable restrictions on another (self defense) (or, why not say 'Be a U.S. citizen' as the requirement for CCW)?

As long as there are those who continue to do this we will continue to see ammo shortages.

The prices are coming down most places. The gunstore nearest me is now selling 500 rd. bricks of Armscor .22 for $45. Discount has the same ammo for (I think I recall) the same price.

The store near Bass Pro on Blue Diamond (scout car parked in front) is still selling Federal Automatch 333 boxes for $75

Bass Pro, Cal Ranch and Sportsman's Warehouse are all bereft of .22

Prices may be dropping, slowly, as supply catches up, but you gotta shop careful.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

To answer the OP's question - No, I doubt that's the case. They need to sell to make money and keep the shop open. Every day an item is unsold costs them money (tied up funds = lost opportunities, storage, ill will from customers, etc.)

I was at Castello's in San Jose and his shelves are stacked with .223, 7.62x39, 9mm, 40S&W and .45 ACP

                          Still no .22LR however.
