Let me put it this way, if you are freaking out now sell your guns.....for it's going to get worse.

Gun ownership.....not just a hobby anymore, it's a way of life.

I have not gone to the range for some time now due to work, life and such. I knew ammo price wAs up and all so I figured no big deal. My ammo stock is at a point where I don't want to go shooting unless I can replenish what I use but i went online to order some before making a range trip and damn!!! I can't even afford to shoot these days. Is archery the next option? What to do? I know, reload but even that is hard to find time and pricey.

You get out and do something else. Put the guns away take up fishing or spend more time with the family. When this all passes (and it will to some extent) your gun hobby will still be there, and all those guns will seem new to you again.

I got into buying and fixing up classic cars and frankly don't miss the guns one bit.

And this, people, is why we're ****ed as a nation. This nation has never seen as much discussion regarding firearms and our associated rights as we're seeing now, and yet there are still plenty of gun owners who are still completely in the dark. Then they start talking about giving up on shooting altogether just because they didn't have the foresight to plan ahead.

I got dart guns and got a little setup here at the house. I'm teaching my 4 year old twin nieces the fundamentals. I'm serious.

Ar-15 ammo in brass is below $.50/rnd. AK-47 ammo is at about $.25/rnd. It is getting better. AR parts can be found in stock again with prices coming back down. I just hope this isn't a temporary state and that it continues to get better.
