    Glock 26/28

Since the size of the 9mm and .380 are identical If I could get a Glock 28 magazine, could I shoot .380 out of my Glock 26?

      Not close to identical.

A piece of .380 will fit inside a piece of 9mm brass.

        Hardly.
        Maybe inside of a 40S&W.

The G28 is straight blowback I believe- looks similar, TOTALLY different.

Glocks operate via locked breach, except for the .380ACP Glocks (25 & 28) which operate via straight blowback.

Due to the straight blowback design, the felt recoil is the same as the 9x19mm Glocks.

Because of the Gun Control Act of 1968, the .380ACP Glocks can not be imported into the USA for civilian sale.
However, the can be imported for sale to a Gov/Mil/LE agency.

During the 1990s, a few LE agencies adopted the .380ACP Glocks as official backup pistols. Since, then those .380ACP Glocks were traded in and a few distributors then legally resold them to the public. Due to their rarity, they were sold as collector's items (around $800 for a used & abused Glock 28, $200 per 10 round Glock 28 magazine).

About a decade ago, an aftermarket vendor came up with a .380ACP {Glock 25} conversion unit (barrel/slide assembly) and they marketed for around $400 a piece & had 15 round Glock 25 magazines for $150 a piece. They were discontinued due to a lack of interest.
