I don't see why not. I know people that does it all the time. But it is subject to change. If any of the SB/AB pass and J. Brown signs it into law. But at the moment it's fine.

I didn't know there were still two cases of ammo left in Nevada.

Why would they confiscate it? It is legal and no different than buying a book or a pair of jeans. You may want to check and make sure they have what you want and also any box limits. You could place and order online for store pick up so you know it will be there.

I don't think he has to sign it. If he doesn't sign it, it becomes law.

A group at UC Davis Medical school have a privately funded grant to study people from CA who go to gun shows in NV and AZ. This includes taking pictures of license plates of CA registered vehicles in the parking lots of these gun shows and following some of these "assumed" residents through the gun show to record on hidden camera their actions in the parking lot and in the gun show. Some of the research is to also catch these people at the agriculture check stations to have them answer a supposedly anonymous survey. Since this can place the researcher in harms way, a Highway Patrol officer usually accompanies the researcher.

Now, if you wish to avoid the agriculture check stations, follow this link: http://www.ferretsanonymous.com/chec...eckpoints.html

The ferret people have been doing this for years. I have been doing it as a matter of principle, I do not want the government snooping around and asking questions. I learned long before the Internet that by hanging out with the locals and avoiding the tourist areas, I could quickly learn about the backroads, especially the ones that are not on the maps.

The ammo checks are FUD. But if you go through the I-80 with lots of ammo visible, you will attract the attention of the CHP, which has a presence at the same check point. Cover it with stuff fishing gear. Or better yet, drive around the check point. It will add 20 minutes and you do not have to worry about it. If you are really worried about someone snapping a picture of your plate, use your imagination and find a creative way to cover it when you are parked or bring someone with you to sit in the parking lot in front of the plate so nobody is able to snap the picture. That person could have a video camera to record anybody who might be driving around taking pictures of cars with CA plates. Then you would have proof to post on You Tube.

My wife's side of the family came from east Germany. They survived and eventually escaped because they actually learned how to avoid detection in a police state. Our situation is not even close and does not take a lot of effort or creativity to avoid, even in situations that are likely FUD but I will be cautious just in case.

Finally, I heard it at Walmart is the first clue that there is a 95% probability it is wrong.
Anyone can look around and see the damage to the state and country inflicted by bad politicians.

A vote is clearly much more dangerous than a gun.

Why advocate restrictions on one right (voting) without comparable restrictions on another (self defense) (or, why not say 'Be a U.S. citizen' as the requirement for CCW)?

The inspectors at the check points I go thru usually just ask for fruits or vegetables?

Really thought they had enough in CA

Correct. California doesn't have Pocket Veto. Once the law passes, unless the Governor vetos it, it will become law in 12 days (unless the 12th day is a Sunday or Holiday, in which case he has one more day to act).

I wasn't aware that any of the proposed laws had any language about importation of ammo.. just the buying and shipping in from out of state.

If I could find boxes of ammo.. I'd load it up as high as a I could.. wouldn't worry about covering it either.. there's no crime. why hide anything?

If you get stopped for anything but agricultural questions or are detained for any reason other than agricultural please drop me a line.

There are a few employees trying to be TSA agents and any personal trouble would be greatly appreciated. Date time and last name of person who questioned you about other than agricultural information.

                              Thanks
