    gun question

soo i got a rifle awhile back and on the handbook it had registration/serial # stickers od i need to use those for anything? like do they go on my firearm or do i just keep em in my wallet or are they used for anything other than registering the firearm with the company that manufactured them?

The serial number isn't stamped on the firearm somewhere? I'm surprised they would depend on adhesive stickers. I would keep the stickers with the owners manual and register on-line, assuming the stickers don't get attached to the warranty card before mailing. So, what kind of rifle?
