Two months ago my Base Exchange was bare, but now full racks of guns, and some nice ones. That 500 S&W is beautiful. The 10.5" 44mag next to it is pretty cheap, very tempting.

Go stop by your local shops instead of relying on websites.
That's the first thing I did, and my favorite local gun retailer with a brick-and-mortar store has been out of almost everything in the way of handguns for a looong time. Maybe (hopefully) things have changed since I last visited the store a couple of months ago.

And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if ... during periods of mass arrests ... people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror ... but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush ... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers ... the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!Aleksander Solzhenitsyn

Might also want to check out more than just 1 shop in your area as well. But yeah, a couple months is enough time to start seeing changes in shop inventory.
