First, bucks is bucks and CA generated more manufacturing based bucks in 2008 than ANY other state in the union. Based on some of the crap on these forums I suspect some here think it was #47.

Second, unlike other states, CA is far, far more diversified. Indiana may generate more manufacturing $$$/citizen but it doesn't have nearly the other industries that CA has.

    Nice try but no...
Per capita measurement is significantly more important.

Sure they did more "bucks" in manufacturing. They also have 10 million more people on welfare that they have to bankroll

I need to learn to think when you don't normalize data? Is that a joke?

I never spoke of California's diversity in terms of industries. I posted about manufacturing. Stick to what is said. Also, it would be REALLY interesting to see what states had the firms with the most PROFIT from manufacturing. If I had to make a bet, I would guess that California may not be #1 on that list.

California isn't the best at everything, sorry to break it to you.

This is the Excelsior that we are accustomed to on Calguns. Next time come back with some logic, reasoning, and an education higher than a GED.

        Indiana
        26.7%
        Louisiana
        25.4%
        Wisconsin
        19.6%
        Iowa
        18.6%

        Bottom 5...

        5.1%
        Montana
        6.0%

        California is at 11.7%

Even in the boondock state of Idaho, we've got you beat at 13.6&. The member you mentioned just luvs him the scenery, the family, the blah blah...

Imo, the most important thing is to get the family in an environment where they're not tromped by state mandates and politics.

Some may have different feelings, obviously. Just keep 'em in California.

I think the OP has a safe business, but I could be wrong.

If you understood my comment you would realize I was responding to posting #11 and not posting #1.
