    Military Discounts in CA?

I registered with Cal Guns for the For Sale forums but i figured i would ask a question and see if i can find any cool deals. I am active duty USMC and i am wondering if anyone knows of any gun stores or websites that offer any special deals to military members. I know of a few in Nor Cal, in the Sonoma county area. Just wondering if someone knows something i don't. If anyone knows of any other deals that are out there id like to know.

I always simply ask the seller/business. About 90% will give you a discount even it they don't have an adveritised discount.

Yes, proforceonline.com in Brea has great prices for LEO and military. $398 for a Glock!

Turners gives a 5% discount on ammo.

Big5 doesn't officially have one, but the manager always gives me one when I ask.

Sig Sauer - First Responders program.

For instance, I have a P232 in Stainless with Hogue grip and Sig Nite Sights - $600 plus tax and DROS.

Glock also has a sort opf program.

That must've been a while ago. Looks like that particular deal was over in 2008.

                      Still in place:

However, there is a 6 month to 2 year wait on delivery. And weapons are limited to California list unless you are law enforcement.

                        Not true.

I am retired Navy and the program is still applicable to active, reserves, and retired.

The P232 was purchased last week and will be released from jail on Friday.

                            Not clear on your concern.
My post gave the website proving the Law Enforcement/Military program is still in-force.
California "Safe Gun" List limitations on all but LEO are true.
If the shop has the gun you want, and it was not obtained through the LE/Mil program, they won't sell it at the reduced prices.
If they don't have the LE/Mil gun in stock, there is a wait.

Could you have meant to quote Stryker's post? http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...11&postcount=9

I believe Turner's also offers 5% off on firearms, but if you watch the sales, nearly every firearm they have goes on sale eventually and it's a better price than with the discount. You cannot get the discount in conjunction with their sale price though.
