    The first CA-Legal AR-15!

Well maybe not CA-Legal with the "Fun" option on the selector.

(Borrowed from arf.com, yeah...I know what my sig says. )

Damn, being a collector I can say those would both be awesome just to hold and get my picture with.

      Now for more serious comments:

        Nice.

I found the pics here: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.htm...f=118&t=278883

Here is a early Colt from that thread. That mag with the horizontal "lines" is cool looking.

I called Knight's Armament in the mid-90's to inquire about thier .308 rifles, a nice old man named Eugene answered the phone, I wonder...

Does anybody here know when that trigger style charging handle inside the carry handle was done away with? When I was a kid my G.I. Joe had what I thought was an M16. It had that trigger style charging handle.

Then a little while ago the new Armalite company came out with their "retro" AR10 that had the same set up. So I thought maybe it was just an AR10 thing and maybe my G.I. Joe really had an AR10. I don't know, maybe he was a Portuguese mercinary.

The Vietnam era M16A1 uppers that Sarco and CDDN are selling don't have the charging handle in the carry handle, but the Armalite AR15 pictured above does. Was this just a feature on the prototypes?
