    Shipping questions

    So I have pistol for sale and someone wants me to ship it to them .what is the process and how much should it cost

    1) Needs to go through an FFL; cannot go directly to buyer (unless it's a genuine antique -- see http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/Antique_Firearms)

    2) Only FFLs can ship handguns via USPS; you can use an FFL, local to you, to ship.

    3) The FFL at the buyer's end needs to be willing to accept the shipment; some will not accept from a non-FFL - see (2). If they will, UPS or FedEx seem to be the common services, but expensive.

    4) Unless something like SSE is being done (or, again, antique), handgun must be on the Roster. Shipping a handgun is not a Roster exempt PPT; that requires both buyer and seller use the same FFL.

      Great thanks for the info . It's an off roster pistol so I guess I can't ship
