    Two non-fired Remington UMC

I got to play with my Glock 20 SF I purchased here a few weeks ago. I shot 20 CCI Blazer and 18 Remington UMC, because two of the 20 Remington didn't go off! They had clear striker impacts, and even tried one twice. I'm very disappointed in it, and don't plan on getting it again, as 10% failure rate increases price per round to where it isn't worth getting the cheap and non-hot loads.

And this is exactly why I don't waste my time or money on cheap crappy ammo, even for plinking.
My life may not be worth the mere firearms, but should it ever really come down to it, my life is worth the freedom. The only reason you and I have the freedom we have is because someone else put their life on the line, knowing that it's not just about the guns.

For the 10mm I do agree. At the time I just wanted SOME ammo. I have good stuff on the way and on backorder, but wanted something to shoot period.

UMC is often the cheapest for a reason. It can be quite crappy.

save the rounds and the box, call Remington with the lot# and you might get a free box to replace the bad rounds. they need to know that stuff so they can determine if they need to do a recall or anything. helps in the QC for the future at least.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

I don't have them anymore, but I will for the other 80 rounds I have. Should end up with 8 duds at this rate!

I had bad luck with Remington umc 223. I had several that wouldn't go off in 1 box. And several that had visually defected primers.

I tell everyone i know to stay away from umc. Dirty pistol ammo and their 223 was underpowered in my AR like wolf or tula.

What's funny is I've had amazing results with Herter's cheapo ammo in 9mm and 308. I haven't tried Wolf or Tula.

Wow, I bought an old bulk case a while back of 9mm, have shot over 400 with no issues at all. Darn accurate @ 25 yds. Guess I got lucky.

^^^ Ditto. It has performed for me quite well. Nothing I've seen YET will stop me from buying it for plinking.

funny you mention this because out of all ammo ive ever shot, including steel case and reloads, remington UMC has failed the most. Like an idiot I still buy it too lol.
                        Have a good day!

I've shot boxes and boxes of Remington UMC and haven't had a single dud. Is this new production?

I don't see much information on the boxes, but the latest date on them is 2012 where it mentions trademarks, so isn't old. I'll see how well the other 80 do in the next week or so. I'll burn it all first to get rid of it. I have good stuff on the way. Looking forward to trying Atomic. I wish Underwood would get in stock, or backorder like Doubletap.
