Gun appraisal el dorado county

A friend of mine sent me a message that he has a .38 special model 15 that he wants to get appraised and was asking if I could recommend anyone in his area. I don't really know a lot of places in the area short of doing a google search, so instead I'm turning to the wisdom of CalGuns. A quick search turned up bighorn guns in Placerville and J and G gun smithing in granite bay. Any feedback positive or negative on either? Any other recommendations? Thanks!

Gunbroker........the blue book has not kept pace with current gun pricing.

The gun store is going to give under cut prices and try to buy right then. Any pics, what's condition how's the lock up

Guns America will give you a general idea of current asking prices, but some firearms will bring a premium here in CA thanks to our DOJ approved handgun list. I would estimate his revolver is worth around $500 depending on condition.

Newtown fire arms in Placerville are good guys and can give your buddy a value for his gun.

Thank you guys. For those asking for pictures, condition, etc...I have no idea as I have never seen it and likely wont as I live 3 hrs away. I don't think he's looking to sell it (I would hope he would offer it to me first!) but is just looking for an appraisal value. I'll let him know my thoughts and your recommendations and I guess we'll go from there.
