Help looking for a new place to shoot in Eldorado Forest

I have been going to a road off the 80 but I thought it was a bit far for me. I am looking for a place that is a bit closer. A couple friend keep telling me about Mormon Emigrant Trail to shoot but I can't find any good spot on google maps.

I would also like to add that I clean after myself and clean up my shotgun shells, brass, and targets.

I found this place at Pollock Pines near the 50 on google maps. Any thoughts? Looks pretty secluded for over 150 yards. But it looks like private property. I have no idea..

I attached some pictures of the map.

Here is the direct link to google maps. Didn't know that the screen shots of the maps would be so small

Find local businesses, view maps and get driving directions in Google Maps.

They're talking about Bonetti Road. But you have to watch out for USFS Ranger Ken Marcus. In about a month the fed rangers lose CA LEO powers though. Google him and you'll see what I'm talking about.

          Get map from here: www.nationalforeststore.com

It will show you land ownership, road quality etc. The eldorado map hasn't been updated in a few years, but should work fine.

You are right. Noise would definitely be a issue.

Wow, just spend an hour reading about Ken Marcus. This guy sounds crazy... Might have to go back to my old place so I don't get hassle by this Marcus guy.. Seems like people that shoots near the Ranger office on the 50 is having encounters with the Marcus guy. I may have to stick shooting near the 80.

Thanks for the link. How much does the map cost? I can't find the price.

                Resurrected.

There are some spots near there on Forebay rd If you go all the way to the river and farther north there is some good stuff...

But I wont go any farther than that, I dont want to give away the clean spots

You can PM me and I can give you some more help.

If you take Hazel Valley Road off 50, make a left and follow it all the way up over a little wood bridge you'll eventually get to a nice little spot up on the left side of the road. You'll know it when you get there, just make sure to leave all your brass for me to come collect. I've never had any issues with LE up there either.
