Santa Maria/Lompoc Ammo Update?

Hello there folks,

Just moved into the area and was curious where and who are the places/people to shop for ammo and gunsmith-ing. Feel free to post updates as well.

Don't bother with Walmart for Ammo, I haven't been able to find any ammo there in months. I guess Tacti-cool in Santa Maria has services and ammo but I haven't dealt with them.

They have been cleaned out like virtually everyone else, but also like others they are beginning to get routine re-supply. Even some reload stuff for shooting in their range, at a reasonable LGS price.

Great group of guys in that shop.

If you are able to get onto Vandenberg AFB and can shop at the PX they have been doing a pretty good job of at keeping ammo in stock.

For bulk, wait for a gun show and hit the Miwall booth. Otherwise, order online. There is nothing in the area except high prices, if it's in stock.

Like others have said, its pretty damn dry around here... Tacti-cool does get some ammo sometimes. i havent tried any of their reloads yet.

Online is your best bet.

There was Lock N Load here in Lompoc, but i got a flyer not long ago that they are going out of business. The only other i know of is Tacti-Cool in Santa Maria. I haven't seen or heard of any of their work tho.

Just keep checking Walmart, I have lucked into ammo a few times. They seem to put it out at different times. Hit the motherload of buckshot and .22LR one afternoon around 2pm. Other than that the online is your friend.
