    Flare launcher

Is it legal to put a 37mm flare launcher on a AR and if so who sells them and sells the flares?

    Thanks

    Randy

its legal as long as its a fixed magazine build, or a registered AW.

As to who has them, i've never looked into it, someone coud chime in on it better.

As previously mentioned, a flare launcher is considered an AW feature, so do NOT mount one on any off list semi-auto with an open mag well.

I have both a etcetera launcher on one of my A2 fixed mag rifles and a MK 8 pyrotechnic pistol

              both in 37mm

The MK 8 is really cool, I even have the locking lug mechanism for it and two original 1943 flares.

I haven't found a cheap way to shoot either of them yet.... there doesnt seem to be a way around the cost of ammo.

I think some people have... reloading rigs? Gives me some ideas. but probably illegal anyway.

Only civilian legal 37mm rounds are "signal" rounds (flare/smoke).
Each non-"signal" round would be treated as a DD.
