American Gun Works (Used to be Kings) experience

Kings in Glendale is now American Gun Works.

Shelves seemed pretty full with new and consignment handguns, shotguns and rifles. Also saw some SSE .45 acp pistols in the case.

Met a seller to do a PPT there this morning. I had called ahead and they said they do PPTs for $35.00

Met the seller there at 10:00AM and it was a no hassle. No wait transaction. The folks were friendly with a positive attitude.

I bought a Marlin lever action which like most newer Marlins felt like a gravel road. So the gunsmith came out and for not a lot of money will smooth it out during the ten day wait. So far I'm a happy customer.

Are they going to start making the old King's 1911 Ambi safety?

Yeah the new "Kings" is a friendly place---shelves are stocked nicely---friendly people---also did a PPT there---no hassles, just part of the job.
Regarding the old King's parts---I don't think the parts side of King's was sold to them---I don't believe you'll see those parts from American Gub Works...

I completely forgot about that store. My dad bought a custom 1911 from them years ago.

I've done a couple of PPT's there in the past as the seller, both times went smoothly.

Didn't know they had SSE handguns there, as I've always only seen long guns there and no pistols.

Yep, I've had nothing but good experience with that shop. Jeff, the owner and gunsmith, is great!
