              What caliber is that? It looks like a 9mm shell being expended, definitely doesn't look like a .223

                          This photo is from Facebook and some people there were saying "22". Might just be me, but I dont see it as a 22 casing either.

                              It could be a .22 casing, although it looks a bit short for .22lr. Perspective is probably making it look much bigger than it really is. (the casing is flying towards the camera, making it look bigger). It looks like a rimmed case and I don't think I would trust anything other than a .22 for my young kids.
