I can't go shooting . My 22 is in the shop getting repairs after taking it to another gunsmith who did a crap job . I'm waiting for ammo for my pistol . And I'm dropping my Mosin off to a machinists to mill a flat on the side of the reciever and d/ t for a choate scope mount .

You need more firearms so that you have at least 3 that can be used at anytime. Also need to plan ahead on ammo.A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

i now have enough mosin and SKS ammo to shoot a long time. very happy. the days in CA of going to the store and picking up ammo to shoot the next day are almost over. and to get a permit to buy it and them tax me even more to buy ammo FORGET THAT.Comment

Buy an M44 or other Mosin variant you don't currently own. Ammo is available for these and it will ride you through until the current drought is over.
