So I'm vacationing, traveling from Germany to Poland, while in Krakow I visit the famous Sunday swap meet, and after browsing through some very expensive bayonets I see a guy selling 30 rounds Ak mags, perfect condition, price around 10 bucks, OMG, I want to buy it! Then the reality sinks in, I'm flying back to LA in couple weeks, if I put them in my luggage, I might get in trouble, would you buy it?

Ship it to yourself disassembled. Also the drums are like $70 bucks over there. Look for them too. Enjoy your vacation!Comment

Since reading Chris Kyle's book and his mention of consuming Zubrowka with the GROM unit, I've wanted to try some.
Any chance of bringing a bottle back?

Zubrowka translates to Bison vodka, it is flavored with a special type of grass, which as the folks are saying gets that unique flavor cause bisons pee on it
I will definitely bring one, not for resale though, but we could meet for a drink
Going back to my initial post, is it safe to send AK mags to LA?Comment

I have not researched this area heavily, but it is my understanding you would first need an approved ATF Form 6 as an "ammunition feeding device" is an implement of war and is governed by the Arms Export Control Act. (It covers both importing and exporting).
I'm not going to quote all the regs as they are numerous, so see the link for the complete list of hoops.
You think you know, but you have no idea.

Look for the vodka bottle with a blade of grass in it.Comment

When I was on the Caltrain a couple of weeks ago I met some polish dude going to Stanford. His family are managers at the Radom small arms factory. I mentioned that I would love to check out the factory so he gave me his card and told me he could set up a tour and test fire. There are 3 kinds of people in this world.

The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

Enjoy your time there, I loved Poland. While I was living in the Czech Republic I drank plenty of Zubrowka with my lovely Polish friend, very good stuff.
If you can spare a day, I highly recommend a trip to Auschwitz. Not something you should miss..Please, calm down.Comment

I'll be there on the 27th for my Cousin's wedding in Opole then over to Wroclaw to visit family.
I go back every year but I haven't made it to the swap meets.
I dunno about ITAR regs about shipping stuff back in. I have bought plenty of AK parts through people in Polska on gunbroker.Artist formally known as CEO of Tracy Rifle and PistolComment
