Well I had a heated argument with a anti-gun guy. He was raised in a military family etc. He said whats the point of owning and ar15, they shoot sideways, they jam all the time, they are inaccurate rifles, they are just junk. I told him, I have 2 ar15's, they have seen 1000's of rounds without a single issue or problem. they fire every time I pull the trigger.

we kept talking and it got to the point where, he is set in his way and believes whatever he tells himself. I asked him a simple question, If we had a civil war or Would you stand with the people or with the government. he said neither, I said you have to choose, there is no Gray area.

So I just kept calling him Joe Biden for the rest of the night, since he is a complete idiot that doesn't want to open his eyes or mind.

Sorry if its in the wrong area, but just had to rant about gun ignorance.

Raised in a military family? Well he doesnt know much, the problems with the M16 were fixed quite early in the war and after that, they were reliable and accurate weapons...

I always here from people who think they know, that "AR15's" jam all the time, because they heard that from an old Vietnam war special...They dont realize that those problems were fixed (along with installing a forward assist) and the M16A1 became one of this UNIVERSES best functioning weapons...

Of course I know, I wasn't going to change his mind. he is set in his ways and that's how it is. It was my friends dad, that I had the argument with. It's like If i was going to argue against someone about anything. I better have first hand knowledge, or else I don't open my mouth and say something stupid.

I think you misread him. He's just saying he doesn't like AR's, he probably prefers AK's. Did you at least ask him that?

He is just against guns. he sounded like the media/ government saying, why do you need an m16, military weapons or fully auto weapons. He also said, Do you think you can defend against with the large amount of weapons. I told him Do you think the people in the military will go against their family or friends? Do you think that the people in the military are mindless zombies that will just kill every single person around them?
