    First Outing With the Beowulf

Made it through 27 rounds before my shoulder told me to stop. About the equivalent of a light load 12ga.

        Light 3 1/2" load?

If you load your own ammo for the Beowulf? What bullets and powder?
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Just wait til you throw some heavy grain Beo loads down range, makes a 12 gauge feel tame

Yeah, just like bowling, it helps to see where you need work from an outside perspective.

A high elbow provides a nice flat spot on the shoulder to help with spreading the recoil over a large area. I shoot my M14 with a very high elbow, that was the preferred way back in my day. With the light recoiling AR15, the elbow is now dropping lower because it provides a lower stress position. But you can't teach an old dog new tricks so I still use a high elbow. There are plenty of High Masters using a high elbow position so it is still a valid position.

Considering a .50 Beowulf for my next build (just for something different). Components don't seem all that expensive necessarily (I load/reload).

My first Beowulf outing I managed to get 20 rounds down range, I changed out to a A2 stock and buffer tube, took it out a couple of weeks ago, put 10 down range.
