    Private Party Ammunition Sales

Is it legal for a private party (non-gun store, non-ffl holder, etc) to sell ammunition to another person in California? Are there any permits required or laws prohibiting this, given that it is adult to adult, non-felon, etc?

    Thank you

As long as it's factory ammo it's more than OK, if it's self made reloads one must have a license to sale that ammo.

It is legal...for now. Donate to CGF if you want to keep it that way.

As long as it's shipped UPS or FED-X ground, no problem.

The fact the OP has to ask is very very sad.

Thank you for taking the time to answer. Things have changed so much in California in the past 10 years it's difficult for me to know what's legal and what's not. I appreciate having a place to ask questions and get answers. I remember spending a lot of time with my dad behind a table at gun shows as a kid when things the laws were much more logical.

I agree. Luckily most people on here seem to be willing to take the time to answer questions without making people feel dumb for asking....
