Bakersfield Gun Show This Weekend?

Nah. I did buy some tactical jerky and the guys threw in a salami sausage. I also found a magazine for my Beretta, but nothing you can't buy online these days. There were no less than four different vendors with those magnetic bullet button work-arounds. What I've noticed about gun shows is that most of the stuff is lower quality. You'll find hundreds of knock-off, cheap Chinese-made Grippods, but not a single real one. You'll see a ton of Pro-mags, generic red dots and scopes, and a bunch of other stuff I would never put on my guns. Oh, there was a raffle by the NRA in the back. They limited the tickets sold to 100 per gun and drew a ticket every hour or so. I saw a couple of ladies win a rifle. I don't remember seeing this raffle at any other shows I've been to in LA or Orange Counties.
Given that it was over 100 degrees and that there was no air-conditioning in a crowded space, there was an obscene amount of BO in the air. Seriously, it was the make you want to run out of the building kind of BO. Fellow gun show attendees, please bathe once in a while. -
I was there, Harold Morgan runs the NRA table on his own at about a dozen shows, Bakersfield is one of them. He is a great guy, 80 years old and has raised $100,000 for the Friends of NRA all by himself!
I won a $1500 Brunton Epoch off his table, his raffles are the real deal...
The usual stuff, LOTS of black rifles for sale, lots of uppers.
Ammo prices at MiWall were down a small amount but by 11 AM they were out of almost everything.
My friend found decent prices on Winchester .223. I was not looking at anything in particular so just window shopped...TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

The last one I attended was just mayhem! I had some other things to do on the weekend so I couldnt make it. I was gonna attend to possibly get some .223 and 5.7x28 ammunition. Might just attend the next one. Haha I bet. Lets remind people in 100+ degree weather not to forget the deodorant lol.Comment

I was thinking that the Costa Mesa, Ontario, and Glendale shows should have a similar raffle. They raffled off like 16 firearms and limited the number of tickets to 100 per gun! So at worst you are making a $5 donation to the NRA or at best you win a new firearm. That's win-win in my book.I was there, Harold Morgan runs the NRA table on his own at about a dozen shows, Bakersfield is one of them. Depends on what you are looking for. I have found rare S&W Performance Center Handguns, bought 3 of them from one vender over a years time. Three different shows since he did not have them all out at once!

Matched serial number to the 686 Carry comp above!

Plus the Rare N Frame Uncle Mikes boot grips I was looking for only $10, Numerous other fine deals over the years, you have to either know exactly what you are looking for, or even better go with a huge list in your head and just relax and see what you stumble across...TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
